BAYAS Sitting and Dharma Discussion Group

This sitting group is an informal, very friendly gathering that welcomes folks of diverse backgrounds and spiritual traditions. We begin with a 45 minute silent meditation and then, over tea, transition into an open discussion and sharing about dharma topics, our practice, and how things are going in our lives and the world. We usually hang out until around 9:30 or so (sometimes later if things are particularly juicy that night!). If you're not able to make it at 7:30pm for the sitting, you're welcome to stop by later on in the evening to join us for tea and conversation. The number of people varies from week to week but generally there are between 5 - 15 of us. We also invite the occasional guest speaker to join us to offer a dharma talk or lead a discussion.
